Job Description

Your Team

Working in our Wendell Falls community and reporting to Kyle Soffe, Production Manager, the Assistant Construction Manager will assist with daily site operations to ensure that the highest quality product is produced. In this role, you will help supervise and promptly address any issues that might occur during the construction process and assist Construction Managers with verifying the accuracy of completed work. You will review homes prior to the presentation to Purchasers and coordinate with subcontractors to help deliver homes on time, within budget, and up to quality standards required by Brookfield. You will also give the highest level of attention to monitoring the safety regulations and having a clean, safe work environment and maintain/coordinate relationships with Purchasers to provide a superior customer experience.

Your Key Deliverables

Schedule, manage, and review all finish-trade contractors to ensure quality, timely, and accurate work is achieved

Complete pre- and post-settlement meetings with home purchasers, including completion of punch lists and any additional homebuyer concerns

Review material delivered on site, as required, to verify quantities (e.g., interior trim and doors, plumbing and electric fixtures, etc.)

Assist in preparing purchase order requests for trades for any additional work performed

Understand and comply with blueprints and job specifications to ensure that subcontractor work is being completed correctly

Assist Superintendent with scheduling and completing all required inspections in pursuit of home Occupancy Permit

Always Ensure compliance with Brookfield Homes’ Health and Safety Policy on the job site. Always maintain a clean and safe job site ensuring that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced

Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of Construction office (site trailer or model home construction office)

Familiarize self with Avid survey system

Must Haves

Proven passion for providing an exceptional customer experience

Strong ability to problem solve

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Nice to Haves

Previous experience in residential construction

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience using Hyphen and/or BuildPro software
