Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our project management team. The ideal candidate will support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of framing projects. You will assist in managing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, and that the teams are aligned with project goals and timelines.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret construction architectural prints for potential technical problems and consult with architects/engineering to resolve design and installation issues.Supervise current projects and coordinate with all team members to keep workflow on track.Support Project Managers in all phases of glazing projects from bid to close-out.Ensure information from client gets to project managers and from office to field (and vice-versa).Generate RFIs, change orders, and submittals.Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary.Manage job dashboards.Represent our company in a professional and positive manner with all external vendors, suppliers, architects, Project Managers, owners, and other stakeholders.Essential SkillsDegree/certification in drafting, design, architecture, project management, engineering, or similar field or 2 years of relevant experience.Experience with wood and metal framing.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases, knowledge of Microsoft Office.Excellent time management skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks.Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus.Excellent client-facing and internal verbal and written communication skills.3+ years as Assistant Project Manager with a GC or subcontractor.Knowledge of ground up wood frame construction for commercial multi-family/apartment buildings.Ability to create and organize RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders in a project management software.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with construction management software such as Procore.Knowledge of multi-family construction and timber framing.Work Environment

The position is based in a brand new office space with a full kitchen. The work schedule is 5 days a week, from 8am to 5pm, working directly with the project manager and project executive. The role offers hands-on training and growth opportunities into project management or estimation.
