We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Contract Engineer to join our Invercargill team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of critical sealing and infrastructure projects across the South Island. 

As the Assistant Contract Engineer, you will support the Contract Engineers, Operations Manager, and Sealing Supervisor in efficiently delivering network works. You will provide operation and contractual support, helping ensure projects are programmed, delivered, and recorded accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities: 

Assist in the preparation of project methodology, budgets, programmes and tender submission Support the management of assigned contract to ensure quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction Assist in the preparation of monthly progress claims and ensure accurate month-end processes. Support programming, planning, cost monitoring, and productivity tracking. Develop and maintain strong relationships with client representatives, anticipating and resolving issues

 

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

Project and/or Contract Management experience in Civil Engineering Proven experience in contract management within the civil construction industry, preferably with a contracting organisation. Strong ability to identify, research, and develop improvement opportunities. Commitment to fostering a culture that supports safety, quality, and environmental (SQE) excellence. Demonstrated leadership behaviours that empower and develop others.
