Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Tonawanda, New York. This role is crucial to supporting the financial operations of the division, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a collaborative approach to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Responsibilities: • Support the Area Controller in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes. • Prepare accurate financial statements and filings • Execute budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to ensure alignment with compliance standards. • Oversee internal controls and perform audits to safeguard division assets and ensure adherence to policies. • Monitor and report on operational results while maintaining compliance with company procedures. • Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, operations, sales, and administration, to integrate financial processes. • Assist in managing daily accounting functions across multiple operating locations. • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of company products, services, and operations. • Perform additional duties as required to support the division's mission and uphold its core values. Requirements • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Proficiency in month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial reporting. • Ability to administer and audit internal controls effectively. • Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration. • Commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and precision. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development.
