Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure the accuracy of accounting processes, and contribute to the success of the department through effective leadership and management. Responsibilities: • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Develop and implement efficient cash management systems to optimize financial operations. • Lead and manage the Accounting team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to support organizational decision-making. • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives. • Maintain a high standard of conduct and uphold company values while performing all job duties. • Foster effective communication through strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills. • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; advanced education is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and processes. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and auditing functions. • Prior experinece with supervising a team • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug tests. • Excellent command of English for reading, comprehension, and effective communication. • Commitment to maintaining integrity and accuracy in all responsibilities.
