About the Role

Responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various general and / or cost accounting functions. Develops, implements and / or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc. Compiles data, allocates costs, prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, and analyzes financial information. Prepares income and balance sheet, profit and loss, consolidated and other accounting statements. Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. May design, modify, install and/or maintain general accounting systems.

Primary Responsibilities 

Manages experienced professionals by providing leadership and support to the general accounting team. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches. Requires ability to communicate with leadership regarding matters of importance to the function or business area. May conduct briefings with senior leaders.Work consists of making significant improvements of internal processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.  Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area.Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery accounting level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Assist with Financial Reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supplemental schedulesLiaise with internal and external auditors to manage the SOX audit and the external auditSupport the administrative functions of the Finance team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Capital, and Financial SystemsParticipate in monthly forecast for Revenue, Cost of Sales, Inventory, and Cash Flow Leads special projects with opportunities for problem solving and innovation that are often complex, requiring

Desired Education and Experiences 

Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area. Typically has comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function.Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.CPA Designation requiredExperience at an Accounting Firm or in an Accounting department at a Public or Private Company would be an asset
