Assistant Controller
**ASSISTANT CONTROLLER** **REMOTE ROLE** **SUMMARY** The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the accounting operations of the CFO team to deliver financial reporting for an international staffing and consulting company in a multi-currency environment. Seeking a focused, detailed individual with experience as an Assistant Controller to be a key member of the CFO team responsible for delivering the monthly financials to the Board of Directors and Stakeholders. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Duties include but are not limited to the following: + Managing, mentoring, and providing direction to direct reports that support revenue and payables cycles. + Oversee accounts receivable and management of collections and dunning statements. + Oversee daily accounting activities, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable and account reconciliations. + Cash management and treasury, cash reconciliations and projections. + Management of Concur expense reporting and reimbursements. + Month-end close responsibilities to record revenue, expense, bonus, and commission accruals. + Recording payroll journal entries and reconciling payroll. + Manage the data flow of information for recording transactions. + Balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations. + Recording intercompany allocations, elimination, and consolidation entries. + Month-end close activities and reporting to produce the deliverable of accurate monthly financials. + Management of certificates of insurance. + Audit deliverables encompassing the support and coordination for various financial and international audits. + Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies and regulatory requirements + Collaboration and partnership with other business units to implement company initiatives and goals. + Liaison with external auditors and tax teams. + Compliance filings. + Sales tax filings. + Year-end tax reporting and filings. + 1099 reporting. + Quality control check work product and deliverables for accuracy. + Organized tracking of action items and follow up. + Timely responses to inquiries and requests for information and financial data. + Collaboration with team members to research and resolve any issues. + Other tasks supporting the financial month end deliverables of the CFO Team. + Regular and consistent attendance with ability to perform work and engage with team members and third parties during business hours is an essential function of this position. + **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position has supervisory responsibilities. **QUALIFICATIONS** **EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE** Bachelor’s degree in accounting **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS** Certified Public Accountant preferred **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES** + Minimum 10+ years managerial experience leading an accounting team + Experience serving in a role as Assistant Controller/Controller in a staffing / consulting / professional services business model + Proficient and expertise using Net Suite ERP with consolidation reporting for Parent/Subsidiaries in a multi-currency environment. + Experienced leader in the month-end close process and delivery of monthly financials. + Successful at multitasking and meeting deliverable timelines. + Proficient with Outlook, Teams meetings, sharing Teams files, advanced excel and word skills. + Collaboration skills to partner with team members and leadership team. + Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities. + Critical thinking and problem-solving skillset. + Excellent communication skills providing detailed information. + Quality control review of work product. + Ability to thrive in an extremely fast?paced environment with time sensitive interactive responses to emails and action items. + Prioritizing deliverables so that other team members have information they need to perform their tasks. + Self–motivated learner. + Ability to quickly become an expert. + Strong aptitude for technology. + Possess solid logic, writing and language skills. + Be detailed and organized with excellent follow-up skills. **WORKING CONDITIONS** **PHYSICAL** **DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
