POSITION SUMMARY:  As the assistant controller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy of Senske’s books and records while ensuring timely financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also oversee various aspects of financial operations. The successful candidate will be an accountant with experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting departments and strong technical accounting expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate closely with the Controller to supervise the general accounting team and manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Assist in the design and implementation of scalable processes for finance functions. Assist in the preparation and review of GAAP financial statements and technical accounting memos and the annual external audit. Develop and grow the accounting team while building strong cross-functional relationships to ensure accounting aligns with finance and business objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field 4+ years of professional experience in Accounting, including supervisory or management experience Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and specific experience in accounting and financial processes such as account reconciliations, related journal entries, financial close process, financial reporting, etc. Well-organized, able to prioritize tasks, and communicate the status and expectations with team members and the executive team Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and being tenacious are essential Experience in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

6+ years of professional experience in Accounting, including significant supervisory or management experience Hold a CPA license Big 4 accounting experience Strong understanding of a broad range of US GAAP topics Experience working directly with external auditors and supporting a year end audit
