Assistant Controller
Description We are seeking an experienced professional to join our growing client's team as an Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven experience leading accounting operations, preferably in a shared services environment. Experience with NetSuite and working within Private Equity backed companies will be considered a significant plus. Responsibilities: + Oversee all accounting operations, with a special focus on inventory accounting, including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. + Supervise and manage the company's accounting staff. + Coordinate and prepare regulatory reporting and ensure strict compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations. + Lead the month-end and year-end close processes. + Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. + Generate timely monthly financial statements and management reports. + Plan, devise, implement, and manage the company’s budgeting process. + Provide critical financial advice and strategic insights on investment activities. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA is highly preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of combined accounting and finance experience, with considerable time in a leadership role. + Demonstrable experience with shared services environments and inventory accounting is highly desirable. + Experience with NetSuite and in Private Equity backed companies is a plus. + Proven knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation. + Experience in producing financial statements. + In-depth knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processes. + Exceptional skills in operating and administrating accounting software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
