This key role will support all aspects of corporate accounting and financial reporting for Hartford Funds. Reporting to the firm’s Controller, and acting as a “player / coach”, the individual in this role will be responsible for oversight of accounting, banking, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and internal and external financial reporting. This position is also responsible for maintaining a robust internal control environment, conducting accounting research and setting and implementing standard accounting policies and procedures.
The Assistant Controller will play a significant role in the day-to-day operations and leadership of the Hartford Funds’ Corporate Accounting team. With a focus on continuous improvement, the Assistant Controller will assist with optimizing financial data and operations across the entire accounting department.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA required, MBA or Master’s degree is a plusApproximately 10 years of business experience. The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
