Job Responsibilities
Involved in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring all statements are appropriately analyzed and correctly stated Perform balance sheet account reconciliations Perform month-end closing activities – accruals, subledger reconciliations, statistical entries, etc. Prepare for and respond to internal and external audit requests Analyzes input costs, monitors cost fluctuations, and makes recommendations for adjustments Plans and supports physical inventory audits Compile/analyze financial data from multiple sources by way of Excel, Tableau, Infor M3 Recommends and implements improvement to efficiencies of financial processes within department and at all operating sites Prepares reports to forecast business activity and financial position Work with the VP of Finance to ensure adequate SOX and internal controls are in place and maintained to safeguard financial assets Provide training and development for staff in finance management, SOX compliance, and any other needs identified in the department Other duties as may be assigned by the VP of Finance
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting/finance areas/cost accounting, including but not limited to budgets, legal compliance, P&L, SFAS Rules in a manufacturing environment CPA preferred Demonstrated experience with financial forecasting, and financial statement preparation Must have strong analytical and supervisory skills Demonstrated Experience with GAAP, IFRS, cost accounting, inventory management and forecasting Previous Supervisory Experience Computer skills: Accounting Software, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, BI Tools High level of proficiency in PC spreadsheets (MS Excel) and ERP/MRP systems
