The Assistant Dean reports jointly to the Dean of the College and the Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, in the Office of Advancement. The Assistant Dean provides strategic leadership for an advancement enterprise incorporating resource development, alumni and community engagement, and external relations for the College, the Graduate School, and the Libraries as the College is entering the final stages of the planning phase in anticipation of a campus-wide comprehensive campaign. The Assistant Dean is a member of the University of Colorado Boulder advancement leadership community.

**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
+ Lead and support institutional advancement strategy and activities for the College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School, and Libraries.
+ Develop and uphold best-practice fundraising programs to enhance and grow private support over short-, medium-, and long-term horizons to support the College's research, teaching, and service mission. Sustain and improve a donor-centered, collaborative advancement culture.
+ Encourage, mentor, and manage a growing team of College-based advancement professionals with specific responsibilities for major, principal, and planned gift development, stewardship, and donor and alumni relations.
+ Lead and support a strategic and intentional integration of donor relations, stewardship, alumni engagement with resource development.
+ Manage a portfolio of high-capacity and prospective donors and meet or exceed annual fundraising goals established with the Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs.
+ The Assistant Dean works collaboratively with College and Advancement leadership to increase institutional readiness for philanthropic investments and is responsible for resource management (organizational and operating budget planning, performance review, goal setting, etc.) associated with the College's advancement program.
+ As a member of the College's executive team, serve on the Dean's Cabinet and other committees as appropriate and significantly contribute to institutional strategy, performance, and culture.
+ Serves as the primary staffing liaison to the College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board, providing strategic support for volunteers' resource development, alumni, and community engagement activities.
+ Establish effective working relationships with academic and divisional deans, department chairs, and faculty within the school to understand their programs and priorities. Ensure that advancement activities are aligned with the College's vision, mission, and goals of its strategic plan and aligned with the vision, mission, and values of the Advancement Division.
+ Collaborate with campus-wide Industry and Foundation Relations team to deepen corporate and foundation relationships, leading to increased charitable grant support for faculty and student research, teaching, and service initiatives.
+ As a member of the CU Boulder Advancement Management Team, contribute to overall campus resource development, constituent engagement, and reputation management strategy and activity, focusing resources on critical College and pan-university priorities and objectives.
+ Work closely and collaboratively with advancement colleagues across the CU system. Serve as the primary liaison with university and campus administrators, including the CU Alumni Association and, at the discretion of the Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs with the University of Colorado Foundation and the CU System Advancement team.
**What You Should Know**
+ This position will occasionally be required to work evenings/weekends.
+ This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days on campus and some days remote.
+ This position is required local, regional, and out-of-state travel to engage with university constituents.
**What We Can Offer**
The salary range is $190,000 - $210,000 annually. A signing bonus and relocation assistance are available with Advancement guidelines.

**What We Require**
+ Master's or JD degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 5+ years of dynamically responsible job-related experience.
+ Software Used: Microsoft Office products, donor tracking software (Salesforce), Zoom, Teams, Concur, PeopleSoft HCM.
