Assistant Department Manager - Operational Finance

**Description**
The Assistant Department Manager - Operational Finance will lead and oversee the operational finance team, ensure compliance with company policies and drive the team towards achieving long-term goals. This role involves managing section managers, team leads, and team members to ensure efficient and effective financial analysis and operations. The Assistant Department Manager will collaborate with US Corporate Financial Services to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve long-term organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to drive team performance and achieve departmental objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead the formulation and execution of long-term strategic plans that align with the US Corporate Financial Services vision and goals. This includes identifying growth opportunities, assessing market trends, and driving innovation to ensure sustainable competitive advantage
+ Collaborate with the US financial managers, BMI department manager to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve long-term organizational goals.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement. Present performance reports for the Operational Finance team to management.
+ Mentor and develop Section Manager and leads, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills, leadership and futuristic strategic thought process.
+ Represent the Operational Finance Team in meetings and presentations, advocating for the team’s goals and achievements.
+ Work with Section managers and leads to support team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
+ Collaboration with the US finance leaders and BMI finance leaders to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
+ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
+ Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
+ Promote continuous learning and improvement within the team. Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
+ Occasional travel to US may be required
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Chartered Accountants (CA), CPA, MBA from prime institutions strongly preferred.
+ Minimum 12 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
+ An expert collaborator, who builds active strategic partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships to pre-empt sources of conflict and ensure continued collaboration that drives performance for the organization
+ A proven track record of driving successful transformation and change
+ Shows courage and confidence to speak up and challenge competently even when confronted with resistance or unfamiliar circumstances.
+ Strong leadership, Strategic Thinking and team management skills.
+ An experienced people leader, who can deliver optimal work design, development, and drive performance through their team
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
+ Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging financial trends. (Preferred)
