BASIC FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Associate Director and supporting the Executive Director, manage enrollment and administrative functions for all Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) credit-bearing courses and special academic programs, including dual and concurrent enrollment for high school students.
Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure all OSI credit-bearing classes are properly entered in e-Campus.
Develop plans for classroom capacity and registration to meet the enrollment demands and schedules of OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Provide excellent customer service in addressing all inquiries related to OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Work closely and collaboratively with senior administration, deans, department chairs, program directors, section heads, area coordinators, and faculty to develop new OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Serve as liaison with academic program directors, department chairs, section heads, coordinators, and deans on advanced planning and instructor assignments for OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Coordinate tuition and fee rates for OSI credit-bearing courses and programs with Enrollment Services and academic program directors, department chairs, section heads, coordinators, deans, and other administrators.
Support faculty and students engaged in teaching and learning in OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Proactively communicate important information, dates, deadlines, and processes to students matriculating in OSI academic programs.
Work with Chief Business Officers, Business Managers, and other fiscal staff to manage revenue and expense related to OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Monitor overall enrollment and the success and effectiveness of OSI credit-bearing courses and programs by conducting assessments of programs, analyzing enrollment trends, and developing recommendations and plans for ensuring programmatic growth.
Oversee the preparation of teaching appointments and hiring of faculty and staff related to OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Assist students through the registration process for OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Ensure timely payment from and on behalf of students enrolled in OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Evaluate tuition waivers submitted by students enrolled in OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Communicate with high school administrators, guidance counselors, teachers, students, parents, supporters, and other community members to provide information, dates, and deadlines related to dual and concurrent enrollment classes and opportunities.
Work with state leaders from Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner, Rhode Island Department of Education, and other departments and organizations to ensure compliance with state regulations related to dual and concurrent enrollment and alignment of URI concurrent enrollment offerings with state goals.
Work with academic department chairs, coordinators, section heads, and deans to evaluate courses for concurrent enrollment offering and high school teachers for concurrent enrollment instruction.
Onboard concurrent enrollment teachers and dual and concurrent students with all URI technological systems.
Coordinate the professional development and training of high school teachers approved and assigned to teach concurrent enrollment sections.
Work with the Rhode Island Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner to invoice and collect payment for dual and concurrent enrollment for students enrolled at public high schools.
Evaluate petitions processes related to student enrollment in dual and concurrent enrollment sections.
Provide reports and make presentations on data and trends related to enrollment in OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Coordinate support services for students registered for OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Assist as needed in the marketing and promotional efforts related to OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
Work across the OSI staff and with academic partners to ensure OSI credit-bearing courses and programs are properly and accurately reflected on the OSI website.
Identify, explore, and act upon opportunities for new OSI credit-bearing courses and programs.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Associate Director.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
Personal computers, printers, word processing, database management, spreadsheet software, G-Suite programs, MS Office 365, Adobe Pro, Photoshop, PeopleSoft, and Filemaker Pro.
