Campus Activities, a transformational student activities office, promotes student development and leadership. It provides vibrant and supportive opportunities that nurture student leadership, learning, social responsibility, interpersonal skill-building and self-awareness through experiential learning. Campus Activities cultivates student’s engagement within the Cornell University community through student organizations, volunteerism and employment opportunities, as well as participation in events, programs, workshops and training.
The Assistant Director (AD) of Campus Activities works collaboratively within the Cornell campus and the larger community to support the development of student organizations and programming at Cornell. The position is responsible for the overall development of student clubs, with a focus on leadership development and creating training opportunities for student leaders and advisors. Additionally, the AD will oversee the organizational development, workflow, and approval processes of the annual registration process for student organizations. This position will advise university-recognized student organizations, monitor their overall health, manage program budgets, and support the planning and implementing campus-wide events.
The Assistant Director will liaise with many university campus partners and offices to ensure student organizations have the resources and knowledge to succeed in their roles. This full-time position may require flexibility with work hours, including nights and weekends, during predetermined times of the academic year.
