Job Overview

The Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team supports the mission of Georgetown University by fostering lifelong engagement between alumni and Georgetown, and by increasing philanthropic support for the university’s future. The CPRC team works with over 800 alumni volunteers to increase class-based engagement and giving through peer-to-peer outreach. CPRC is, as a whole, responsible for establishing class fundraising goals, recruiting and developing volunteers, identifying donors, hosting world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engaging alumni and students in class-based fundraising and engagement.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Director, Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns, the Assistant Director is an integral part of the CPRC team. CPRC is, as a whole, responsible for establishing class fundraising goals, recruiting and developing volunteers, identifying donors, hosting world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), and engaging alumni and students in class-based fundraising and engagement.

The Assistant Director manages class engagement and giving strategies for alumni in the Magis Society (post-50th Reunion classes).  The Assistant Director will also be a part of the team responsible for strengthening and growing the overall class volunteer program, including the strategies for volunteer recruitment, resources, and stewardship. Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills, exemplary communication and time management skills, attention to detail, and an interest in higher education or non-profit philanthropy.  Experience with planned giving fundraising preferred. The Assistant Director, Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns will have duties that include, but are not limited to the following:

Develop and implement all aspects of comprehensive engagement and giving strategies, campaigns, and programs for the Magis Society classes.

Recruit, train, and develop alumni volunteers in the Magis Society classes.

Design and implement a comprehensive strategy to engage Magis Society classes with Georgetown.

Collaborate with Development Officers and the Office of Advancement colleagues to identify potential volunteers and/or donors.

Provide ongoing, day-to-day tactical support for class chairs, including the production and management of prospect reports and other relevant information.

Work directly with classes on all aspects of class organization and development including reunions, events, budgeting, program development, and communications.

Provide class volunteer management, including governance, volunteer recruitment and retention, communications, stewardship, leadership development and training.

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in higher education and/or a development/fundraising environment

Experience working with and/or leading volunteers and/or customers

Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience developing meaningful, lasting relationships

Professional and collegial demeanor and ability to exercise diplomacy

Ability to think creatively and innovatively

Experience planning, executing, and managing events

Desire to work in a team environment

Ability to perform multiple tasks at once with minimal supervision

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Superior organizational skills and time management

Comfort with understanding and performing semi-complex metrics and analysis

Ability to handle confidential matters on a regular basis

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft applications (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)

This position has been designated as Hybrid 2 Days. Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$41,926.00 - $65,090.00

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
