Assistant Director, Donor Relations and Stewardship
**9550BR** **Position Title:** Assistant Director, Donor Relations and Stewardship **Organization:** Alumni and Constituent Engagement **Job Responsibilities:** + Creates, implements, oversees, and evaluates comprehensive stewardship and donor relations programs that creatively and strategically engages prospects and donors. Programs include but are not limited to: donor recognition and giving society membership; donor marketing and communication; donor retention initiatives; the donor gift catalog; and other donor-centric activities and initiatives as defined by the University Advancement leadership team. + Develops and manages a variety of donor and stewardship communications. + Develops and executes communications and educational programming for divisional staff and campus partners that emphasize the importance of donor-centered principles in a complex university environment. Promotes an institution-wide culture of donor stewardship. + Manages and creates compelling and original content for donor-centric marketing and communications including the quarterly Gifts in Action e-newsletter to donors, milestones recognition mailings, student scholarship profiles, stories on impact of giving on students among various other planned and ad hoc collateral and/or communications requests. + Manages creation and production of printed and digital stewardship materials such as individual donor impact reports and targeted email stewardship communications that align with the university’s messaging and branding strategies. + Work collaboratively with internal and external campus partners to evaluate new and existing spaces for appropriate gift level; plan and execute physical recognition signage for donor-funded capital projects; develop and execute stewardship for capital project donors including anniversary communications, impact reporting, and site visit opportunities, as well as milestone events such as ground-breaking ceremonies and dedications. + Serve as project lead for donor-related initiatives including providing input on policies and guidelines; implementing and documenting processes; leading cross-departmental teams; analyzing data and developing internal and external reporting standards. + Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data for all donors as it relates to determining giving society eligibility; managing the acknowledgment process and the donor communication protocols and preferences. + Perform ongoing program evaluation to continuously identify innovative and efficient stewardship programs that take advantage of technology; work flow efficiencies; and other best practices.
