Objective To directly contribute towards completion of external and internal reporting functions of the Institutional Research and Effectiveness unit by analyzing data, generating reports/visualizations, and otherwise responding to information requests. Will additionally provide supervision, project management and training support to members of said unit. Principal Accountabilities 1. Develop initiatives to satisfy regulatory and institutional requirements for Institutional Research and Effectiveness practices. Principal Accountabilities 2. Provide project management support for Institutional Research and Effectiveness initiatives. Principal Accountabilities 3. Develop and deliver training support for end users of Institutional Research and Effectiveness initiatives. Principal Accountabilities 4. Serve as subject matter expert for survey data collection initiatives and platforms. Principal Accountabilities 5. Serve as subject matter expert for assessment data collection and reporting platforms. Principal Accountabilities 6. Provide supervisory and developmental support for Institutional Research and Effectiveness team members. Principal Accountabilities 7. Extract data from student information systems for use in internal and external reporting. Principal Accountabilities 8. Compile and analyze information from various sources including student information systems, surveys and other digital platforms. Principal Accountabilities 9. Communicate results of analysis to various stakeholders using narratives, data tables and visualizations. Principal Accountabilities 10.Develop and maintain data visualizations on business intelligence platforms (PowerBI). Principal Accountabilities 11. Participate in professional conferences and other learning platforms for continuous development of Institutional Research and Effectiveness skills, knowledge base and best practices Principal Accountabilities 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree
2. Experience in Institutional Research functions.
3. 2+ years of Institutional Research or related field. Minimum Competencies

Minimum Competencies Practical experience writing SQL queries. Experience with report writing software (e.g. Evisions ARGOS) or software. Proficiency with MS Excel including query functions and pivot tables. Experience with survey platforms (Blue, SurveyMonkey, Qualitrics, etc.). Ability to train end users on relevant software tools (e.g., ARGOS, Explorance Blue, SPOL, or equivalents). Ability to work with and communicate effectively with data and project management clients. Ability to communicate clearly in numerical, graphical, and narrative form. Experience managing multiple projects, reports and other tasks. Ability to perform descriptive statistical analyses using computer software. Ability to embrace change and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.). and visualization development. Experience leading an IR or IRE team. Proficiency in writing, maintaining and troubleshooting SQL queries. Experience managing course evaluation surveys using Explorance Blue. Experience managing assessment data collection, reporting, and archival with SPOL or similar software. Experience in developing and deploying business intelligence dashboards and interactive tools. Expertise in using predictive statistics, parametric and non-parametric. Proficiency with Banner student information system. Preferred Competencies
