**EY Center for Career Advancement has an opening for an outstanding individual to serve as the Assistant Director - Specialty Masters.** Student populations supported include, but not limited to: MSIS, MSBA, MSCM, MPAcc, MST, and MSE. This position reports to the Career Center Director with significant collaboration with Associate Director – Specialty Masters, Associate Director-Undergraduate Career Programs, Employer Relations, and Program Directors-Specialty Masters.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **Career Coaching and Instruction: (50%)**
• Conduct 1:1 and group coaching sessions with students on career-related topics such as resumes and LinkedIn profiles
• Plan, create, and facilitate in-person and asynchronous career courses with the Associate Director to onboard incoming students
• Develop and conduct in-person and virtual career preparation workshops and events
• Develop and administer materials and resources for career coaching and programming
• Evaluate and purchase career preparation resources
**Program Management and Outreach: (30%)**
• Develop and manage career programming, events and resources dedicated to the success of all Foster student populations with a primary focus on our Specialty Master student populations (MSIS, MSCM, MSBA, MPAcc, MST, MS Entre)
• Develop and coordinate events, workshops, company visits, and professional programming to ensure that professional success of our students
• In relationship with Director, Associate Director and Business Development Manager, maintain employer and alumni relationships for Specialty Master’s programs
• Work closely with Specialty Master’s Program Directors, Alumni Association, Undergraduate Programs, Diversity & Community Services, UW Career Center, MBA Career Services and other campus department staff members to collaborate, create, and promote programming and resources for Foster students
• Liaise with International Student Services and stay abreast of working regulations for students
• Represent Foster Career Center to various organizations.
• Create weekly career content and updates using program designated communication channels
**Employment outcomes and special projects: (20%)**
• Manage and conduct career assessments including employment outcomes
• Assist in the overall strategy and evaluation of the EY Center for Career Advancement
• Assume shared responsibility for assessing and modifying/updating web site and online content related to Career Services
• Serve and participate on Foster and University committees as assigned or designated
• Support Foster Programs events and participate fully in a fast-moving team environment where everyone is expected to roll-up her/his sleeves and contribute whenever possible
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs & Career Center Director
• Conduct and assist with special projects and activities, including outreach efforts, orientations, admissions, and other activities throughout Foster Business School and UW community. Represents Foster Career Services to various organizations on and off campus
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience substitution for degree requirements
• 4 years of experience in career planning or related industry/business/college relations experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
**Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.** **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
• Flexibility to work evening and weekends events and workshops
• Highly effective planning, scheduling, time management and follow-through skills required in order to coordinate and implement special programs and events, while providing service to both employers and students
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Independent judgment and individual discretion necessary with developing career programming and resources, structuring schedule and determining follow-up for students
• Strong interpersonal skills required
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, STEM or Business related preferred, or significant industry experience
• Strong familiarity with tech industry environment
• High degree of comfort with technology and data
• Salesforce and CRM experience
