**Position Description:**

Texas Tech University is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Chatbot and AI specialist to join our Marketing & Communications team. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and manage content for our university's chatbot, while also leveraging AI technologies to enhance user experience, provide timely and accurate information, and improve chatbot functionality. This position will play a key role in ensuring the chatbot delivers engaging, relevant and dynamic content to students, faculty, staff and prospective members of the university community. The Assistant Director will collaborate with various departments and utilize AI-driven tools to ensure efficient communication and alignment with the university's voice and values.

**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Create, edit, and maintain chatbot scripts and dialogue flows to ensure a user-friendly, accurate and informative experience.
+ Leverage AI technologies to enhance chatbot responsiveness and improve content personalization based on user behaviors and trends in platforms such as Salesforce Experience
+ Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
+ Develop content that addresses a wide range of topics, including admissions, financial aid, academic programs, campus life, events, and university policies.
+ Regularly update content to reflect changes in university information, events, and announcements.
+ Analyze chatbot interactions and AI –generated suggestions to identify trends, user needs, and areas for content improvement.
+ Implement feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously refine chatbot responses.
+ Ensure content is accessible and inclusive.
+ Develop and implement a content and AI strategy that supports the university's communication objectives through various platforms.
+ Track and report on chatbot engagement metrics to measure content and AI functionality effectiveness and inform future development.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or a related field.
+ Up to three years of experience in content creation, copywriting, or digital communications.
+ Experience in higher education or a related field is a plus.
+ Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Experience with chatbot platforms and AI-driven content tools is highly desirable.
+ Familiarity with AI technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and automation to enhance chatbot performance.
+ Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
+ Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles and how they apply to chatbot development.
+ Strong analytical skills to assess content performance and user interactions.
+ Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Knowledge Base and Chatbot.
