Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Supportdirects, operates, and maintains the audio visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. Including:
+ Assists in the supervision of programming, operation, and maintenance of the technical systems located in the Student Activity Center/Halton Arena and other athletic facilities. This includes but is not limited to the following: LED Video Systems, Scoreboards, Content Management Systems, Sound Systems, Lighting Systems, Projectors, and Meeting Space Technologies.
+ Perform troubleshooting and repairs to the software and hardware level on audio-visual systems and associated output devices.
+ Coordinate specialty technology needs for Halton Arena.
+ Advertise, recruit, hire, train, and evaluate a student staff to set up and operate all audio visual, sound, and lighting equipment.
+ Serve as technical liaison for all major events in Halton Arena.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four year college or university and at least three years of program associate experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Graduation from a four year college or university and three years experience in sports or event facility technical services with a preference for arena and/or stadium operations.
