Job Description

The Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications assists with the execution of marketing and communications for the academic programs that make up the College of Education. This position develops, implements, and executes marketing and communication campaigns for the college. This is a writing and editing heavy position.

In-office position in Stephenville, Texas with work hours of Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate, which may include afterhours, weekends, and some holidays.

Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.

Responsibilities: 

Develops and implements comprehensive marketing and communication plans aligned with the COE strategic goals.

Shares messaging and branding strategies that effectively communicate.

Creates content and manage the college's digital media presence including website maintenance, multimedia and social media while ensuring content is consistent with the university's brand and messaging.

Develops and creates marketing materials for the college, including print and digital assets.

Writes, edits, and distributes communications through internal and external channels. Coordinates event planning for the college, including logistics coordination and promotion.

Protects and promotes the university's brand identity.

Coordinates program recruiting materials and events with campus stakeholders.

Responsible for leadership and project management for student workers and interns.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or applicable field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Seven (7) years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills

Proven ability to generate imaginative solutions.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others while also maintaining the ability to work independently on projects

Interpersonal and communication skills.

Planning and organizational skills.

Supervisory skills.

Other requirements:

Position requires work beyond normal business hours, weekends, and holidays; This is an on-site position located in Stephenville, Texas. A portfolio of previous work samples will be requested.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Salary Range:

The target base annual salary range is $59,370 to $84,311 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
