Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ The Assistant Director’s primary responsibility includes overseeing the implementation of interpersonal violence prevention and sexual health education programming including workshops, campus-wide outreach events, and awareness campaigns.
+ This position leads the implementation of the Green Dot Strategy, a national, evidence-based bystander intervention strategy designed to mobilize students, staff and faculty to react, intervene, and engage in proactive behaviors to prevent interpersonal violence.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Master’s or advanced degree in a related field required. Most relevant fields of study include (but are not limited to) public health, health promotion, higher education leadership, social work, gender and sexuality studies, or related fields required.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
+ Supervision of professional or student staff; demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as skill in presenting effectively to faculty, staff, and students.
+ Strong ability to collaborate effectively to address programmatic issues and needs, while making independent, professional decisions and considering the input of various stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated skills in a variety of educational methods including presentations, workshops, trainings, and small group discussion/facilitation.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
