**Pay Range:** $52,416 - $82,555
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
**Summary:**
The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive program of outreach to the Rush alumni constituency, with emphasis on alumni from all three colleges of RushUniversity. This position manages and supports communications and engagement efforts for all alumni, including e-newsletters, social media, and alumni board programming. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Alumni Relations and collaborates regularly with members of the Special Events, Communications, Stewardship and Annual Giving teams as well as with Rush faculty and staff members.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• A minimum of two years of proven experience in development, alumni relations, volunteer management or a related field, preferably in health care or a higher education setting.
• Ability to conceive and manage projects from inception to delivery, including tracking and reporting on progress and results.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent team building, communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills, and aptitude for problem solving, strategic planning and evaluation.
• A high proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, e-communications, project management tools and knowledge of computer fundraising software.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends is required.

**Responsibilities:**
1. Provide strategic direction for, and help execute, alumni events to create opportunities for effective alumni engagement, working collaboratively with Philanthropy’s Events team.
2. Implement alumni board engagement plans to maximize the alumni leaders’ impact on proactive agendas for alumni outreach, involvement, and giving; Supports Director in successful execution of RMCAA Executive Council and NAA Board meetings.
3. Recruit and manage alumni volunteers to support outreach and class giving campaigns; Partner with Annual Giving colleagues to develop alumni solicitation and giving strategies; Ensure successful engagement of all alumni through All Alumni Weekend programming and events.
4. Help collect and analyze metrics to evaluate the success of alumni relations activities, including surveys and anecdotal feedback, and formulate recommendations based on these findings.
5. Direct all alumni-student programming and serve as the Office of Philanthropy’s liaison with Rush University’s Office of Student Life to execute student engagement events and manage student volunteers’ participation in alumni board meetings and events.
6. Direct all alumni communications and partner with Associate Director to develop content (e.g. e-newsletters, e-magazine, email campaigns), providing strategic vision and planning and working with the team to fulfill execution.
7. Provide programmatic support and strategic vision for alumni events, including signature annual and biennial events, such as Reunion.

9. Partner with the Data Systems and Reporting team on alumni data and segmentation reports.
10. Collaborate with the Stewardship and Communications teams in the development of messaging that highlights alumni accomplishments and the impact of alumni giving.
11. Develop, distribute, and manage the comprehensive alumni relations communications and events calendar.
12. Other duties as assigned.
