We are looking for an Assistant Director of E-Commerce to lead the Peninsula Merchandising China E-Commerce with the mission of building and driving the brand proposition in China E-commerce marketplace, achieving commercial targets and Company’s objectives. This role reports into Country Manager, Mainland China and the key responsibilities and requirements are:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute E-Commerce strategies and business development tactics for China E-Commerce channels to drive brand proposition and achieve commercial objectives. Drive E-Commerce customer experience and ensure brand consistency in E-Commerce through working with distributors/trade partners. Source, assess and manage the performance of trade partners to ensure a smooth operation and negotiates sales price and discounts according to company policies. Ensure accurate forecasting and planning, maintain a healthy inventory, ensure timely deliveries, and compliance with both internal and related local regulations. Provide market insights and analysis on existing channels’ performance and assess the potential of new markets, channels, product development opportunities and competitive benchmarking to build relevant product and sales channel growth. Ensure proactive relationships with related internal functions including but not limited to Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain & Procurement etc., to support and ensure all E-Commerce platforms deliver the customer experience up to company’s standard. Monitor and analyse E-Commerce markets and provide reports and action plan to various online sales parameters including but not limited to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and a/b testing. Ensure all customers remain within credit & account receivable terms. Build strong relationships with key customers, and potential new customers to drive sustainable growth.
Requirements:
Celebrate The Peninsula heritage, able to connect with people and be passionate about excellence. Minimum of 10years of related experience, with at least 4 years in leadership position. Solid experience and remarkable achievements in China e-commerce is a must; experience in the sectors of premium consumable goods, confectionery or food will be an advantage. Degree holder in any disciplines. Indepth knowledge in China e-commerce and on top of the latest e-commerce trend. Excellent skills in working with and collaborating across departments. Seasoned in managing trade partners or vendors. Result oriented, driving excellence, great business acumen. Strong commend in both written and oral English and Chinese. Proficient in MS Office.
