**Description:** The Assistant Director of Engineering will support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel systems and infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong technical background and leadership skills, ensuring that all engineering services meet the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional guest experience. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist in managing the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring smooth maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other hotel systems. + Supervise and train the engineering team, ensuring they provide excellent service and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. + Ensure all preventive maintenance programs are effectively implemented and up to date. + Support the Director of Engineering in budgeting, cost control, and resource management. + Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. + Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure that engineering-related projects and requests are handled promptly and professionally. + Oversee the maintenance of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. + Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external contractors for specialized maintenance or repair services. + Respond to emergency maintenance issues and manage repairs with minimal impact on guest experience. + Assist with energy conservation programs and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. **Qualifications:** + Proven experience in an engineering role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment. + Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. + Excellent leadership and team management skills. + Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. + Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively. + Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in the hospitality industry. + Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Relevant certifications or qualifications in engineering or a related field preferred. + Advanced English Level **Primary Location:** MX-BCS-Cabo San Lucas **Organization:** Park Hyatt Los Cabos Hotel %26 Residences **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Engineering/Facility Maintenance **Req ID:** CAB000168 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
