About the Role
As the Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the preparation of accounts for various Hyatt Entities in Australia as well as assisting the Accountant to prepare the Hotel’s financial reports. Working in a team, you will support the Director of Finance in ensuring the day to day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

Some of the responsibilities include:
Ensure that the department’s activities are aligned with the corporate finance strategy and that hotel actions have been implemented where appropriateEnsures that government-stipulated associate and tax legislations are strictly followed and implemented.Maintains all ledgers and journals and other accounting records of the hotel compiles and submits all corporate, regional, hotel, and governmental reportsCompiles and maintains in conjunction with the General Manager and Department Heads all budget and forecasts relating to all activities of the hotel reviews and approves monthly journal entries, balance sheet, and income statementPrepares and interprets the financial statements and reports for the hotelAssist with budgeting and forecastingAssist with external auditors as requiredAbout HyattAt Hyatt we care for people so they can be their best. · The ability to work well under pressure
· A flexible, adaptable and hands-on approach, willing to work as part of a team
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Effective time management skills to achieve set deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
· Must have full working rights within Australia
