**Duties and Responsibilities**
As Assistant Director of Finance, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Finance department within Six Senses financial operating standards. I will work strategically with the Director of Finance to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures and guidelines to achieve them.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
+ Maintain effective management of the property’s credit practices.
+ Provide a flow of financial information and reporting to all divisions and departments to the Director of Finance or General Manager.
+ Work on the preparation of the annual budget and capital expenditure plan.
+ Monitor actual financial performance to budget.
+ Oversee financial transactions, including approval of purchase requisitions and orders, payments, petty cash, payroll, audit and other financial requests.
+ Work with the IHG Global Service Centre to ensure all processes are being followed and being done correctly on a timely basis.
+ Ensure internal controls are in place to provide compliance with financial, legislation and taxation requirements.
+ Liaise with external parties including payroll bureau, taxation consultants and external auditors; communicate and liaise with owners as required.
+ A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.
+ Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.
+ Minimize payroll costs by maximizing productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts.
+ Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation.
+ Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
+ Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by my manager.
+ Perform any additional duties given to me by my manager.
**Qualifications**
To execute the position of Assistant Director of Finance, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
+ Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent and 5 years in hotel accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
+ Technical skills include advanced Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
+ Familiarity with hotel systems including POS, PMS, and CRM platforms strongly preferred.
+ Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
