Summary As an Assistant Director of Food & Nutrition Services (Healthcare Food Service Operations), you will be oversee the day-to-day food and nutrition operations for an 850-bed Healthcare System with a high-volume cafeteria ($35K in sales per day). You will lead and develop a large team, manage and cultivate client relationships, and maintain profitability while reaching financial goals and achieving growth plans. You will monitor ongoing matters relating to patient satisfaction initiatives in order to assure highest client retention and customer satisfaction levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Oversees patient and retail food service operations for a large healthcare system + Establishes goals and oversees implementation of patient food service needs based upon medical direction, patient population and contract + Plans and supervises the patient food assembly and service, complying with dietary restrictions to ensure optimal food preferences are met + Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food. + Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams. + Hires, trains, coaches, develops and evaluates 120 full-time retail and patient dining services team members, ensuring productivity, accuracy and competency + Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs, which leads to optimal nutrition and financial outcomes + Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies + Leads patient satisfaction programs + Complies with regulatory agencies, including federal, state, and Joint Commission + Participates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program + Follows facility, department and Company safety policies and procedures to include occurrence reporting + Maintains excellent relationships with the client. + Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications + Associate’s degree is preferred. + Minimum of three years of food service management in a high-volume acute or long-term care setting preferred + Willingness to participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs/activities + Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable. Financial experience and business acumen skills. + Strong leadership and communication skills. + Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet. + ServSafe certified highly desirable Apply to Morrison Healthcare today!
