Reporting to the Director of Gift Planning, the Assistant Director of Gift Planning will work with the university’s alumni, friends, and their advisors in order to educate, solicit, and complete deferred gifts and complex outright gifts on behalf of all areas of the university. The Assistant Director, working closely with college and university program development officers and senior administration, will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects and securing major outright and deferred gifts of $100,000+ from private sources in support of endowment, capital projects, and current operations. S/he will fulfill these duties under the direction of and in close cooperation with the university’s central development office.
This position will require:
- Regional and national travel which may include overnights and weekends.
- The ability and willingness to travel utilizing standard, commercial, and/or personal modes of transportation.
- The ability to work nights and weekends to attend university events as needed.
