Posting Number: 20244224S Position Title: Assistant Director of International Programs Position Type: Staff Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/12-months Avg Hours Week Department: 241-Law School Instruction Position Summary: The Assistant Director, International Programs will support the recruitment and admission of foreign LLM students, coordinate support and guidance on bar admission and career opportunities and assist both Villanova and foreign students with semester exchange programs. In conjunction with program leadership, the Assistant Director will ensure that the target enrollment and revenue streams for these respective programs are achieved. The Assistant Director quickly develop and continually refine an expert understanding of the program to ensure compelling, consistent, and accurate communication with prospective students across a variety of channels.

The Assistant Director: is responsible for generating and assessing prospective candidate leads and building and maintaining relationships with candidates that span across the enrollment timeline, from inquiry to registration and will use technology to effectively manage inquiry, admissions, and enrollment pipelines; will provide prompt follow-up via phone, email and text with digitally generated inquiries and provide feedback on the quality of such leads from specific campaigns; will conduct information sessions, presentations and represent the programs at various events/conferences online and in person regionally and internationally to increase the admissions pipeline.


In all types of communications, the Assistant Director will serve as an ambassador of the University and the Graduate programs in accordance with its brand and its values.

The Assistant Director will serve as the primary student services lead for students in the LLM in US Law and will coordinate support and guidance on course selection, career advising, professional development, student life, and access to university resources. Additionally, this role supports organizing and supporting international summer programs. The Assistant Director will ensure that these programs align with Villanova University’s mission and values, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the recruitment and admission process for foreign LLM students, ensuring a high yield of qualified English-speaking, foreign-educated attorneys. Assist with program events, assuring program quality and regulatory compliance. Facilitate guidance for foreign LLM students on admission to the bar and career opportunities, providing tailored support and resources. Assist with administration of semester exchange programs for Villanova and foreign students by reviewing applications, assuring student eligibility, coordinating registration and ABA compliance, and ensuring a smooth experience. Organize and assist with international summer programs, including planning, execution, and follow-up. Other duties as assigned to support the Director of International Programs Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Bachelor’s degree


Minimum Work Experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in administration, higher education, law practice, or a related field. 1-2 years of experience creating or administering international academic programs.
Specific Job Knowledge Familiarity with the administration of international programs. Knowledge of interviewing and recruiting processes. Familiarity with organizing academic programs and student exchanges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or J.D.
