Assistant Director of Student Accounts
Location: Troy, NY Category: Staff Positions Posted On: Tue Dec 10 2024 Job Description: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Director of Student Accounts assists the Director of Student Accounts with the administration procedures that are necessary for the Office of Student Accounts to function in an efficient manner. The Assistant Director of student accounts will assist in answering student and parent questions related to billing policies, payment options, and other inquiries about their student bills. The Assistant Director of Student Accounts is primarily responsible for: + Assist with billing and billing adjustments of all students. + Assisting with processes related to contract and special programs offered by the college. + Assisting with the student refund processing + Assisting with the processing of employee tuition waivers + Assisting students and/or parents with expedient resolution of accounts receivable issues to meet the needs of currently enrolled students with special circumstances and subsequent follow-up, as needed to ensure compliance and/or payment. + Following up proactively on current, open student receivable balances for resolution of any issues relating to account status, inclusive of consulting with the Office of Financial Aid Services, Solutions staff, and/or Registrar as appropriate, to insure clearing of account balances. + Coordinating of student account review prior to registration activities as pertains to Student accounts holds being placed on students with active, open balances. + Preparing special analyses and management reports as required, to effectively monitor and manage student accounts receivable for currently enrolled students at the college. + Other related duties as appropriately assigned by the Director of Student Accounts + Play an active role within the student account's team to achieve the strategic goals of the department and the institution. + Serve as required/requested on committees and/or planning groups. + Other duties as needed. The estimated wage is $24.35 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.
