The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for leading teams of providers, Clinic Staff and Clinic Operations Manager(s) in different locations. Work in a team focused environment committed to delivering exceptional quality of care, provider engagement and satisfaction and timely patient access. Monitor all daily operations of practice to assure practice runs in an efficient cost-effective manner. Available to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems as they arise. Supervises Clinic Operations Manager(s) and Clinic Staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignments are met for efficient clinic operations. This includes supervision of all staff where applicable for their area of responsibility such as front office staff, medical assistants, RN’s, LPN’s, volunteers and all physician support.
The Assistant Director assists the Director of Clinic Operations in various duties and leading specific company initiatives.

Ensures quality and operational excellence by working in collaboration with Providers, Clinic Staff, Clinic Operations Manager(s) and Director of Clinic Operations to ensure clinic efficiencies, productivity, and regulatory compliance in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and scope of services/practices. Communicates and messages to the team on the culture, vision, mission, and strategy of the organization.
Achieves company objectives related to healthcare quality, patient engagement, and finances.Manages claims worklist for assigned clinic locations.
Assists the Director of Clinic Operations in new colleague orientation.
Works with the Director of Clinic Operations, Revenue Cycle, Coding Support, Compliance (list may not be all inclusive) to ensure professional educational needs are being met.
Addresses patient complaints and concerns, elevating issues as needed to the Director of Clinic Operations.
Appropriately communicates issues/trends in the market to the Director of Clinic Operations.
Assists in review and development of clinical and operational policies and procedures. Ensures clinic compliance to federal, state, local, and all accreditation requirements.
Responsible for performance, professional development, and retention of Clinic Manager(s), Providers and Clinic Staff. Conducts performance evaluations on all direct reports. Manages and assists in the selection process, onboarding, orientation, and training of team members.
Motivates and inspires Clinic Manager(s), Providers, and Clinic Staff. Provides direction, counseling and mentoring to Clinic Manager(s) and Clinic Staff regarding operations.
Participates in ongoing Quality Assurance audits to include Peer Review, Medication Administration review, and continuing education.
Travel Requirements:
Willing to travel within the market up to 10%-20% of the time for business purposes
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Experience with electronic medical records and information.
Experience in billing and coding practices.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office Suite (for example in Word: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
Good business office organizational skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and with others in a team environment.
Some college education in Nursing or Business Admin
Minimum 5 years’ health care experience
Minimum 2 year’s health care leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Three to five years of clinic supervisory experience and project management experience
Experience with primary care, specialty clinics (e.g. Cardiology, Addiction Medicine, Urology, etc.)
