**UW Medicine - Supply Chain Management** has an outstanding opportunity for a **System Assistant Director of Regional Operations** .
**WORK SCHEDULE**
+ 100% FTE
+ Monday – Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** **UW Medicine Supply Chain Management** is a shared services department for all UW Medicine spanning Harborview, UW Medical Center-Montlake, UW Medical Center-Northwest and numerous primary and specialty care clinics, and delivers a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.
**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
+ Establish and implement strategic goals partnering with UW Medicine leaders to reduce expenses and improve efficiency of all supply chain operations
+ Oversight for the departments responsible for all receiving and delivery of inbound packages, sorting and distribution of mail, to 2 major hospitals processing total package throughput of more than 250,000 annually
+ Strategically directs warehouse operations that provide support to the system for disrupted supplies and disaster preparedness
+ Oversees all regional supply chain support of operations at UW Medicine Primary Care, Airlift Northwest and all other supported operations outside of the hospital setting through clinical partnerships to ensure appropriate supply availability across the UW Medical System
+ Responsibility for an organization of 30+ FTE's and budgetary functions of assigned cost centers **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provides strategic direction and leadership for onsite Receiving, Courier, Warehouse, and Mail Room departments as well as Supply Chain regional operations
+ Onsite operations focus on Harborview and UW Medical Center-Montlake locations, while regional support encompasses the entire UW Medicine service area
+ Direct Supply Chain operations and teams while partnering with key business and operational stakeholders to pursue opportunities for reducing expenses while championing efficiencies across the organization
+ Lead multiple teams across multiple locations and unions to plan, assign, evaluate work; provide creative instruction and feedback; actively recruit, hire and retain staff; overall creating a foundation that supports and develops team members' growth and success
+ Oversight for organization-wide performance and compliance with regulatory requirements and operating procedures related to inventory management and receiving
+ Lead strategic planning and coordinating system strategies for supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from supplier to end-user including proactive inventory management based on key performance indicators
+ Participate in the development of operating and capital budgets, programs, policies, and plans; monitor budgets, deliver cost savings and value maximization **REQUIREMENTS**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
