Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Director for the Office of Financial Aid NB. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, Rutgers University–New Brunswick seeks a seasoned, forward-thinking, and team-oriented leader to serve as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Works with the Director, Associate Director and Assistant Managers to foster a customer-focused, service oriented environment. Hires, coaches, supervises, and evaluates staff, promoting a high level of customer service, and overseeing operations and workflow management of the Office of Financial Aid. Develops, manages, collects, and analyzes key performance indicators., Produces statistical reports on individual and organizational performance/trends based on transactions (in-person, online, email, phone, etc.). Develops, implements, and maintains initiatives/programs to identify historic trends, staffing needs, impact on resources and future forecast trends. Ensures adequate staffing levels to meet customer service expectations. Conducts process analysis through evaluation of work processes and customer satisfaction levels and recommends improvements. Ensures regulatory compliance, determining financial aid awarding guidelines, and overseeing the administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid for RU–NB, which includes over twenty (20) schools and 50,000 students. Maintains internal controls, systems, and procedures and establishes policies for all financial aid programs to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Applies leading-edge technologies and practices such as financial aid/scholarship leveraging to refine and implement financial aid/scholarship packaging policies to attract and retain students. Uses research and data through business intelligence to analyze and evaluate impact of financial aid and scholarships on enrollment goals. Interacts closely with college deans, and student services directors, and participates in Rutgers-wide initiatives. Educates leadership on current and evolving financial aid regulations and institutional policies, impact to Rutgers University, and recommends effective options and solutions.
