Description: As an Assistant Dispatcher, you will support the coordination of deliveries with other stores as well as customers. This includes helping drivers with their assignments and ensuring that all deliveries are made on time. You will work closely with the lumberyard team to ensure loads are built correctly. You will communicate any changes in the delivery schedule to the relevant parties. Ensuring delivery equipment is safe and maintained according to DOT regulations and ensuring drivers' logs are completed and maintained according to DOT regulations will be part of your responsibilities. To improve delivery efficiency, you will assist in utilizing our delivery dispatch management system.

Requirements: 

Previous experience in a support role within a dispatch or logistics environmentKnowledge of DOT regulationsStrong communication skillsExcellent time management skillsProficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookCustomer service skills to cultivate relationshipsAbility to multitask while remaining organizedThis is not a desk job, so must enjoy being active
