GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Assistant Distribution Center Manager will serve as a backup for the DC General Manager on all phases of the operation. The Assistant Distribution Center Manager is responsible for daily activities of the distribution center, including shipping, receiving, replenishment, maintenance, inventory and employee scheduling. The Assistant Distribution Center Manager will ensure data is analyzed from all aspects, to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses within the processes of the operation and work with involved personnel, departments to determine best practices, implement and train on correct processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development and work assignments of personnel
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESComply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human ResourcesParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill
COMPUTER OPERATIONS
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
