The Assistant Electrical Engineer will assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, facility alterations, and Capital Equipment installs on a variety of projects in government manufacturing facilities. The Assistant Electrical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the conceptual, design, construction, commissioning and operations project phases, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors and/or client needs. This Electrical Engineer will be expected to:
Assist in the electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.Assist in troubleshooting electrical design-related issues on constructed or to-be-constructed facilities and Capital Equipment installations.Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects including, but not limited to government manufacturing facilities.Assist in designing electrical components for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers.Apply basic knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.Assist with research and comply with project related data as required by the project managers.Assist with correcting and updating drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software.Assist with client presentations, shop drawing review, submittal reviews and construction specification updates.Assist in performing field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.All other duties as assigned.
