THE JOB:

As an Assistant Executive Steward, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department.  You will also  set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
 

Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectivesSupervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributesSupervise assigned staff to include hire recommendations that encompass the company’s diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback, recommend and administer discipline, and schedulingProvide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processesMake routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintainedRequisition new and replacement equipment as neededApprove requisitions related to all cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor supply requisitions to ensure costs are kept to a minimum without losing quality and usage of materialsMaintain inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware and glassware, order china, glass and silver

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Possess developed managerial skillsKnowledge of all kitchen steward functions and all materials and equipment used in the kitchenAble to lead and mentor a teamAbility to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical informationExcellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular  attention to detailEffective listening abilities with strong judgment skillsExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
