Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager
Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Facilities Support Services Division. As an Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager, you will have the overall responsibility to distribute work amongst Shops and to analyze data from the BEP computerized maintenance system (MAXIMO) and determine how resources are being used to deliver services. Responsibilities As an Assistant Facility Maintenance Manager, you will: Assist the Division Manager with initiating, planning, and directing the facilities maintenance activities throughout BEP. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the division. Coordinate, evaluate and monitor division activities and is responsible for the overall distribution of work, recruitment of staff, training and product quality. Assist the Division Manager with budgets, facility modifications and cost estimates. Encourage subordinate supervisors to accomplish work projects and to balance workload distribution among subordinate branches. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Supervising facility related maintenance, and custodial activities; ex: directing and supervising specific construction work, minor projects, emergency/service actions, recurring jobs, maintenance. AND - Experience monitoring employee workload and performance. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
