What You'll Do
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support our Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Director of Security & Risk. The AFSO will play a pivotal role in managing personnel security clearances, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and contributing to the secure operation of BCG Federal’s facilities. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to collaborate across our business management and operations team members, while leveraging cutting-edge tools and systems to maintain our security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the day-to-day operations of the personnel & security program in support of the FSOAssist in overseeing high volume employee personnel security clearances (PCLs) and suitability, including initiating investigations/reinvestigationsReview and verify required security forms (e.g., SF86, SF85) and track investigation lifecycle process. Provide weekly PCL status to FSO & People OpsWork closely with HR/People Ops for citizenship verifications and onboarding/offboarding process -ensuring all cleared personnel are debriefed and removed from accessIn cases of security violations or breaches, assist in conducting investigations to determine the source, extent, and potential impact of the incidentDevelop security briefings/newsletters, track completion, and maintain training recordsAssist personnel with CAC applications, PIV, SCI nomination letters and badging requests for client facility accessProcess visit requests (VARs), acting as a BCG Fed liaison to hosting facility security to ensure seamless access for traveling consulting teamsAssist FSO with implementing and updating security policies and procedures to align with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DD254s, and other contract requirementsConduct regular vulnerability assessments such as self-inspections to ensure compliance with security policies and readiness for external auditsAssist with the preparation and filing of required reports, documentation, and evaluations to federal agencies such as DCSAProvide guidance to management and personnel on security-related questions, ensuring alignment with government regulations and company policies.What You'll Bring

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
We expect total annualized compensation for Washington D.C. based employees to be approximately the following:
Base salary between $98,000- $120,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12% 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service. Contributions are vested immediately and there is no waiting period First year annualized target total compensation: $111,132-$136,080
