Required Education:

4 Year Degree The assistant coach for defensive line is responsible for assisting the defensive coordinator and head coach to implement and direct all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III football program at DePauw University. This includes recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, scouting, coaching, scheduling, budgeting and planning team travel in compliance with University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. The assistant coach for defense also provides leadership in the personal, academic, and athletic development of student-athletes.

Based on the skills and talents of the individual, a secondary assignment within the athletics department is assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) required.  Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: At least two years related coaching experience preferred. Understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, and NCAA Division III athletic experience. Playing and/or coaching experience at the intercollegiate level in football preferred.  Proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes who fit the academic profile of the student body.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Google Apps, other programs as determined by specific responsibilities. Hudl film software. Web based communications tools (i.e., Teamworks)

Certificates & Licenses

A valid US driver's license is required.  Must maintain current certification in first aid, CPR/AED during employment.
