This candidate will report to the General Counsel and be an integral member of the legal team responsible for the day-to-day legal work for contract drafting and negotiation for the company's three customer segments and the procurement organization. The ideal candidate will have law firm and/or in-house experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements and working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry, and experience with customer-facing and procurement agreements is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable of laws and regulations applicable to the industry, and should be able to apply such laws, regulations and standards to inform business activities. Experience negotiating contracts for a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience. Essential Functions + Provide direct legal support for negotiating the company’s customer-facing contracts and procurement contracts. + Review and/or revise contract playbooks and support various the company’s contract lifecycle management processes. + Work with and supervise outside counsel on legal matters as appropriate. + Provide well‐reasoned and practical legal advice and counsel in a timely fashion. Qualifications + JD degree from a nationally recognized law school + Admitted to the Bar of at least one state and eligible for admission as in-house counsel. Work Experience + 5+ years of legal experience as an attorney drafting and negotiating contracts. Experience with life sciences and CDMO contracts is preferred.
