Job DescriptionAs Assistant General Counsel, this varied role includes:
Providing legal advice and services to support the company's US operationsManage corporate governance and compliance matters, ensuring regulatory complianceDevelop and implement legal policies and procedures including employment law & supporting HREnsure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulationsPrepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements - reviewing, issuing & managing contractsAd hoc projects: real estate and facilities, assisting with mergers & acquisitions activityCollaborate with outside counsel as neededMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantThe successful Assistant General Counsel should have demonstrable skills:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a US accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in Texas State/ eligibility for admission through reciprocity5+ years practicing law either In-House or in Private Practice (or a mix of both)Exceptional communication skills and strong team ethosExcellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, enjoys handling a varied portfolio of legal enquiriesWhat's on OfferThe successful Assistant General Counsel will receive:
