Are you in? **Primary Purpose** **PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION** An entry-level to mid-level attorney responsible for providing full legal service to clients under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney. Carries out legal assignments, including research and preparation of agreements and regulatory filings. Performs non-routine legal assignments and assists with real estate, regulatory, commercial and administrative matters. **Primary Duties** **PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES** • Provides representation and counsel related to infrastructure and development projects, and general real estate matters for regulated utility clients. • Handles complex transactions, including negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, real estate agreements and third-party attachment agreements (e.g. leases, licenses, easements, purchase and sale contracts); title review and title curative matters, closing documents and settlements etc. • Research, review and analyze legal and regulatory requirements for infrastructure and development projects, including third party attachments on utility assets, assist with company required permits, zoning/land use and other agency approvals, as necessary. • Interprets and applies internal company policies consistent with the law. • Assist with dispute resolution and litigated matters. • Supports other regulatory legal matters, as needed. Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel. Projects / duties as assigned. **Job Scope** **JOB SCOPE** + Supports more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel. + Able to think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve Company objectives and manage risk. **Minimum Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** + An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in at least one of the relevant jurisdictions of DC, Maryland, New Jersey and/or Delaware. At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position. + Must have the ability to communicate clearly – both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications** **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** Commercial real estate experience. Federal Communications Commission experience, including telecommunications, third party attachments and joint use of regulated utility assets.
