Tustin Ranch Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of full-time Assistant General Manager. General Purpose:
Assists General Manager in overseeing all aspects of club operations, including activities and relationships between guests and associates. Assists General Manager with financial responsibility for property.
Essential Duties:
¨ Assist with development, administration and achievement of the annual golf revenue plan.
¨ Oversees the care and maintenance of all club physical assets. May coordinate maintenance efforts of Clubhouse Manager.
¨ Audits all inventories to assess control reliability. Identifies opportunities to control product costs and other expenses.
¨ Prepares and monitors monthly revenue goals and expenses as well as generating various (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) business volume reports and updating forecasts.
¨ Monitors all financial reports/statements on a monthly basis and recommends effective corrective action in cases of budget variances.
¨ Monitors business volume forecast in each department and advises changes to plans or programs, in areas of manpower, productivity, COS, operating costs and other elements.
¨ Manages marketing efforts to continually promote golf, instruction, events, and other elements.
¨ Involved with and will lead several Capital Improvement Projects annually from defining, vendor meetings, bid process, and project construction.
¨ Collaborates and assists key managers with developing and achieving business and operating plans.
¨ Participates in the creation of events and menus to entice a variety of appetites, for both restaurants and banquets/tournaments.
¨ Assists General Manager in monitoring the success of all departments and department associates, including performance reviews, as needed. Will work directly with assisting department heads in growing and solving items in their departments.
¨ Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work at all levels, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
¨ Organizes compilation of all necessary data required to prepare annual budgets for club, as well as the comprehensive annual club’s business plan. Serves as a budget manager and as a point-person for timely and accurate completion of annual budgets for club operations.
¨ Monitors basic personnel policy, reviews policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs. Ensures that human resources procedures and policies are followed and that deviations are effectively managed.
¨ Updates and oversees implementation of policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance with all company standards.
¨ Monitors overall club(s) safe-work practices and coordinates ongoing safety education programs.
¨ Regular and reliable attendance. Responsibilities for this role includes as needed to accommodate business requirements outside of the norm.
Education/Experience:
¨ Current or previous experience as Assistant General Manager or above, Director of Operations, or the like preferred.
¨ Bachelor’s degree (BA); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally may climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, tastes or smells. Regularly uses hands and fingers to feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
PGA/LPGA membership, CMAA member, or GCSSA preferred.
The position is also bonus eligible based on club and personal achievement which would be in addition to the compensation range

¨ Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation Range
