Buc-ee's Is Coming to Rockingham County/Mount Crawford, Virginia - Opening Late Summer 2025! We are looking for Retail and Food Service Management Now!

The Assistant General Manager provides and promotes a Clean, Friendly, and In-Stock experience for every customer. Assistant General Manager provides passion about leading a store team to uphold Buc-ee’s standards in the absence of the Store General Manager. The Assistant General Manager should have ability to manage store personnel, ensure product quality, and promote customer service. Assistant General Managers typically work a minimum 48 hour work week consisting primarily of early mornings and afternoons, including most weekends and holidays.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

$125,000 / salaryPerform duties and responsibilities of the Store General Manager in their absence or upon their discretionIllustrate competent knowledge of various Point of Sale and transaction devicesReconcile multiple shift reportsResolve customer and employee issues quickly and in a friendly and professional mannerAssign and inspect elements listed on shift duty listCommunicate professionally with the Store General Manager and employeesUnderstand and apply federal, state, and local laws as they apply to retail sales and general employment mattersAssist the General Manager in recruiting, training, evaluating and managing employeesAssure safety rules and regulations are implemented and followedAccurate and rapid use of small keyboards on Point Of Sale and transactional devicesAbility to identify and resolve immediate customer and store needs without constant supervisionEffectively and efficiently complete tasksInteract professionally with other team membersPerform other duties as required and/or assignedEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

 

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

Degree from college or university; or 1-2 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in job related fieldRetail or management experience preferredAbility to work in a fast paced, high pressure environmentProlonged walking and/or standing for 8-12 continuous hoursAbility to work on the store’s busiest days including most weekends and holidaysAbility to work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and nightMaintain regular and prompt attendance
