Job Summary
Supervises employees in all phases of golf course maintenance to include maintainance of all tees, fairways, greens, roughs and peripheral golf course areas. Manages daily course preparations for both member/guest and tournament play. Assists in personnel management, evaluation, employee safety, personnel discipline and is often responsible for daily work scheduling based on professional interpretation. Instructs/trains employees on the proper operation and care of all equipment; supervises pesticide applications and/or operates and calibrates pesticide application equipment. Supervises repairs, schedules watering, oversight of maintenance regarding irrigation systems and pumpstations

The assistant superintendent may serve in the superintendent's capacity during his/her absence. Quality control oversight Employee scheduling Safety training and documentation Operational training and documentation Time and Labor reporting and input Pesticide/fertilizer application, calibration and handling responsibilities Irrigation scheduling, troubleshooting and repair work Employee motivation Winter plow duties Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
2 or 4 year degree or professional degree equivlant in turf management, plant science or other similar agriculturally related degree/field of study Minimum of three seasons/years of golf maintenance experience Previous supervisory experience necessary Valid drivers license and ability to obtain Colorado pesticide applicators license basic computer operation- Word, Excel, powerPoint preferred. English necessary- Any Spanish is helpful but not required
The expected pay range is $63,000- $70,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
