The monumental Capital Hilton is seeking full-time Assistant Head Houseperson to join their banquets team! This historic hotel is in the heart of the nation’s capital, less than a mile from McPherson Square metro station and less than two miles from the National Mall, Georgetown, and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the physical ability to keep up with the demands of the position, a passion for teamwork and previous banquets houseperson experience!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work AM, PM and overnight shifts as needed (weekend availability required)

Pay Rate: $27.86 per hour

What will I be doing?

\n

As an Assistant Head Houseperson, you would be responsible for overseeing the set-up and clean-up of all banquet functions in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nSupervise and assist Housepersons with set up to ensure compliance with event specifications and with clean up and break-down after events\nAssist Housepersons with and oversee a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays\nAssist with planning, organization and execution of all banquet functions\nGreet clients and guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner\nParticipate in and lead department meetings, as needed\n
