ASSISTANT HOUSE MANAGER

The Assistant House Manager is responsible for assisting in the administrative coordination of the Residential Unit. This responsibility includes assisting in formulating and implementing formal unit policies and procedures and keeping both the unit staff and clients aware of agency and departmental guidelines. This also includes assisting in the overall functioning of the unit, including staff performance, the quality of the unit program, and any emergencies that may occur.
Job Duties:
Assist the House Manager to provide and maintain a safe environment through the implementation of structure, programming, safety protocols and effective milieu management. Assist the House Manager to coordinate and facilitate the timely and quality completion of daily notes and monthly treatment documentation. Assist in providing detailed assessments and updates of client progress in quarterly and emergent interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Help to ensure completion of restrictive procedure plans, client incident reports and assist in maintaining the accuracy of client charts. Perform crisis intervention and management techniques. Fully perform restraints as necessary when ordered by a licensed professional using the current approved KidsPeace restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and who are physically threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others. Assist to maintain and ensure implementation of all KidsPeace and regulatory standards, policies and procedures. Accurately and timely communicate all pertinent information to direct reports, center management and customers. Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner. Participate in assigned committees and task forces. Assist the House Manager to accurately account for all house money, including monthly and summer allotment. Participate in the development and co-facilitate therapeutic groups.Qualifications:
Associates Degree or 60 college credit hours plus 3 years of work experience with children is required, OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Mental Health or Human Services field plus 1 year of work experience with children is required. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age.
